Hi all,

Leo is one of the top runners for DS same.
He is due on the 22nd of August so if he comes on his due date or before his star sign will be Leo.  I am not really into star signs apart from very occasionally reading the horoscopes in magazines.

I don't think this will be a issue having the same name as your star sign but I was after some other honest opinions?  I don't want to set up a lifetime of teasing etc.  Am I missing something?

Would it bother you having the same name as your star sign?

Thanks

It wouldn't bother me, but it might to the child.

Leo is a great name!

I was going to say I probably wouldn't do it then I thought in the last 10 years or so I have not any many discussions on star signs

in the 80/90's heaps of them but not recently

so these days maybe people wouldn't think it? (just my thoughts on my experience not saying overall right or wrong)

It wouldn't bother me at all, but as a PP said it would be different if you named him August.
Maybe if your circle of friends/family was into star signs etc it'd be a problem? But I wouldn't worry about it.

Plus Leo is a great name =)

Great name and not an issue, even if someone did realise he's a Leo.

I know two Aprils, neither born in April and no issues so I'd say go for it.

I honestly have no idea what the star signs are :) I know my own, that’s it!

Wouldn’t even cross my mind :) I’m sure there would be people throughout his life who will notice it, but I think most people aren’t even aware.

When I found out I was having a boy Leo was always one of my top names.  I only realised recently what his star sign might be..
I think it is still going to be on the top of my list.  I can't remember the last time star signs were talked about in my life.  I don't know when all the others are, I only know my own.  I just didn't want to give him a name that would set him up for ridicule. It doesn't matter to me but I just wanted to see what the consensus was on the matter. In case I was missing something important.

Star signs are dumb.

The name isn't. Use the name.

I think it’s a cute little correlation. I would even like August if he’s born in August.

I’m not really into star signs either but I think it’s cool that my DS, who is a Capricorn, has a name that can mean “little goat” in some languages.

I don't think star signs would be that high on on anyone's agenda TBH and even if so, a lot of people you come across aren't going to be party to his DOB anyway.

Yet my name is April and yes, I was born in April.  That was not why I got my name.

For Leo I wouldnt be fazed at all.

wouldn't occur to me that person has the name of their star sign. Wouldn't bother me either.

Just don't call your child Sagittarius. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Or Cancer. obvious reasons.

I was going to say this. I associate Leo with just being a name - would have to think twice about the star sign association. not an issue is at all

Different if you called him pisces or taurus or sagitarius!
